Weekly drop-in art clubs for adults

I run a weekly art club at the Church of the Holy Spirit from 10-11:30 on Saturday mornings. This group welcomes art lovers of all skill levels, and we aim to complete a small painting in one or two sessions. Our main goal is to share the joy of creating art in a friendly, relaxed environment and make friends along the way.

Weekly after school drawing lessons for children

Drawing is a fundamental aspect of painting, as it provides the essential foundation upon which all painting techniques are built. Learning to draw offers a multitude of benefits beyond the creation of art. It enhances fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, fostering greater precision and control. Drawing also stimulates the brain, improving cognitive functions such as memory and problem-solving abilities. Engaging in this creative process can serve as a powerful outlet for self-expression and emotional release, reducing stress and promoting mental well-being. Additionally, the discipline and focus required for drawing can cultivate patience and perseverance, qualities that are valuable in all areas of life.

I offer after-school art clubs for children, where I teach the fundamentals of drawing, including line, perspective, values and light, propotion and composition. To make it fun we will be using colours along the way. Your child will learn valuable drawing skills in a small group, with most art supplies provided. At the end of each term, we will hold an art show for families and friends. Advanced students will have the choice to join my intermediate painting Please contact me for more details.

Intermediate painting lessons

If you would like to learn painting in acrylic, oil, or other mediums at an intermediate level, please do not hesitate to contact me. I offer individual or group lessons tailored to meet your needs.
